The unoffical start to Tourist Days 2010

I decided to give myself an extra long weekend and took Friday the 21st off from work. My niece and I had our own little tourist day together - and it was really great to spend some time with her.

We didn't venture too far from home base, and heading across the harbour over to Eastern Passage to Fishermen's Cove. It is a beautiful spot, not too far from home, and far enough away to feel like you are out of the city and 'down the shore' somewhere. It is a historic area that's been rebuilt over the years (1996)and is a combined restored and working fishing village with shops and restaurants. There is a lovely boardwalk, around to McCormack's beach, a spectacular view of McNab's Island, and just an all around nice walk and you can treasure hunt along the beach and rocks for interesting finds.
